The students of B.Sc.Home Science 6th semester HDFR visited Shastri Model School, Phase 1 Mohali to conduct a survey and awareness program on ‘Exam Anxiety and mental health issues’ as an extension programme.
Awareness was done through interactive ppt presentation on exam anxiety, flash cards showcased various mental problems and their cure. A story was enacted with the help of puppets to make target students understand the concept in a playful way. Games were also conducted to promote good mental health. School students fill survey questionnaire on the same topic. About 100 school students participated in the program. The school faculty was very supportive during the activities.
Principal of the college Prof. Sudha Katyal encouraged the college students to spread awareness about the mental health and exam anxiety .
Director Mr Rajneesh Kumar and Principal Ms Renu Bala of the school also appreciated the students for great work done by the team.
