Mohali, 22 Dec: Shemrock School sector – 69 organized Inter-School Group Singing event ‘Musical Munchkins’ at its campus . Many schools from tricity participated in this event. The melodious songs pulled the heartstrings of the audience. Kwi Suk Kang- a Western Classical Music Teacher, Gurvinder kaur an international cultural performer and owner of Aagaaz Kala Kendra School of Dance and Aamrapali a famous singer and model graced the occasion with their benevolent presence as the Judge. The children showcased a sense of pride, self-esteem and self-confidence during their performance. At the final competition Manav Mangal Smart School Phase 10 announced winner. While AKSIPS -125 AKSIPS -125 Smart School Kharar was first runner up and Learning Paths School, Sector 67 & Shemrock School Mohaii were second runner-up.
While speaking at the moment Principal of the School Prineet Sohal informed that Shemrock promotes Inter school events in order to provide a platform to the blooming buds to expose their talent & build up their self-confidence. However, competitions in kindergarten are not endorsed to avoid unnecessary pressure on tender minds as they prove to be detrimental rather than being beneficial. Moreover, children are too young to understand winning and losing and losing brings down their morale.
M D Karan Bajawa said that this inter school activity was without any judgment where every participant was a winner and all participants were given appreciation certificates and gifts were given to the accompanying teachers.
